Stromae's first African tour dates

Belgian singer of Rwandan origin has annouced dates for his Tournée Africaine in eight capitals on the continent. There will be four concerts in May and five in June. The concert will start begin in Dakar (Senegal) and end in Kigali (Rwanda), the homeland of Stromae’s father.

Sadly, no date was announced for Nigeria or any English-speaking country. I guess this is because anglophones do not know him.

Rwandans are excited to have the big star who is often compared to legendary Jacques Brel. Stromae, whose real name is Paul Van Haver, will perform in Rwanda for the first time this June during a mega concert at Amahoro National Stadium, Kigali.

Stromae was born in Belgium to a Rwandan father and a Flemish mother. His father, an architect, was mostly absent during his childhood and was killed during the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.
